We are pleased to announce that Shakespeare Marina is now officially open for mooring applications and with earthworks about to commence, the landscape is really starting to come to life.
Located on the picturesque River Avon, Shakespeare Marina is only a short walk into the nearby town of Stratford-upon-Avon which was once home to Britain’s most famous playwright and poet William Shakespeare.
Surrounded by a historic and rural setting the marina will mirror the beauty of the local area and will provide the perfect place to recharge, relax and cruise your way around the Midlands. With the ability to follow four easily accessible cruising rings, the marina allows boating enthusiasts to enjoy the charming area that Stratford-upon-Avon has to offer.
Our vision is to create an exclusive marina that is about people not just about boats. As a result, we have carefully planned Shakespeare Marina to enhance our customers’ experience. Our 250 berths will be sculpted by full-length, non-slip jetties and will welcome both narrowboats and wide beam boats. Shakespeare Marina will also offer a wide scope of facilities, from laundry rooms to recycling and electric hook up charging points, which will sit alongside our top of the range jetties.
Shakespeare Marina can be accessed in multiple ways whether it be by car, bicycle, or boat. The marina is within walking distance of Stratford-upon-Avon, known for its vibrant culture and renowned theatres run by the Royal Shakespeare Company, including the Swan Theatre which is situated on the edge of the river. If that’s not enough then you can explore the town’s many charms including traditional inns and pubs, or a trip to the farmer’s market which is a 15-minute walk away. Shakespeare Marina will have a natural water body design that will be complemented by floating jetties so that no matter the change in water levels, your boat will always be safe and secure. We can’t wait to keep you updated with how the marina progresses over the coming months as we aim for opening in the Autumn.
